April 12, 2020 Easter Sunday Service
This year, many of us are feeling a little lost and disappointed, because Easter at Emory will look very different this year. This will be the first Easter for many of us where we won’t be attending in-person church services and Easter celebrations.
At the end of the day though, Easter is about more than a big event in our church building. It’s about more than our Community Sunrise Service, Community Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunts. Easter is a day that’s all about the fact that the tomb is empty. Jesus is alive, and in him we find our life.
This Easter will be different, but God works through all things to bring about good (Romans 8:28). And while we wouldn’t have necessarily chosen to do Easter this way, may God bless you, our church family and our community this Easter.
Remember that even though our church building may be empty, so is the tomb! Christ the Lord is risen, Alleluia!
Join us on Emory’s website or our Facebook Page for our live-streamed Easter Service as we celebrate at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.
